All of us at Sterling National Bank hope this note finds you safe and healthy—and our hearts go out to those who are ill or are caring for loved ones and friends.
Our community is experiencing an unprecedented time in human history. This global pandemic and its resulting impact on our daily lives can be overwhelming. With all this uncertainty, our communities and businesses simply can’t sit back and wait to see the outcome of this challenging situation.
That’s why Sterling’s Executive Management and Crisis Management teams and I meet several times every day to proactively manage our response through this ever-changing landscape and take the necessary steps to help ensure the health and well-being of our clients, colleagues and communities.

Small Business Administration (SBA)
Paycheck Protection Program (PPP)
On Friday, April 24, the SBA announced that it will resume accepting PPP applications starting on Monday, April 27 at 10:30 a.m. ET after additional funds were allocated to the program.
Due to high demand, we are no longer accepting new applications for the program at this time. If you have already completed an application with Sterling, you may periodically check your application status by signing into Sterling’s SBA PPP portal. We will continue to inform you by email as your application status is updated.

While working with our nonprofit partners, the Sterling Charitable Foundation has identified that what our communities need most now is access to healthy food. We are therefore making significant contributions to community-based organizations that we believe have the greatest potential for getting food into the hands of our neighbors in need, including City Meals on Wheels, Island Harvest Food Bank, Feeding Westchester, and Rockland Meals on Wheels.
Contact Center Updates
Effective, Monday, May 4, 2020, our Contact Center will be operating on the revised schedule of 8:30am to 5pm EST Monday through Friday and 8:30am to 3pm EST on Saturdays until further notice. For additional support, we encourage clients to also send us a message by simply filling out the ‘Contact Us About Your Banking Needs’ form on this page. Briefly tell us your question and a Client Services Representative will address your inquiry within 24-48 hours. Please be sure to never include account numbers, tax identification numbers or other sensitive information in your message.
Financial Center Updates
Due to current social distancing recommendations and staffing levels, Sterling’s financial centers will be closed on weekends until further notice and have modified hours Monday - Friday.

Personal Online & Mobile Banking
Manage your accounts online from your laptop or desktop or using a smartphone or tablet and the Sterling Personal Mobile Banking app. You can access account and loan information, transfer funds, make loan payments, pay bills, view cleared checks, place stop payments—and more. Business Banking Online & Mobile Banking
Manage your business finances when you’re online working from your home or by using your smartphone and our Business Mobile Banking app. You can access account and loan information, transfer funds, make loan payments, pay bills, view cleared checks, place stop payments—and more.
There are also optional capabilities that enable you to review and approve transactions requiring additional authorizations such as ACH and wire transfers. You can even deposit an endorsed check using your smartphone or tablet’s camera and mobile deposit.

Commercial Banking Online & Mobile Banking
Sterling’s e-Treasury platform streamlines the financial side of running your business. In addition to accessing your account information and transferring funds, users can automate payments and disburse funds quickly with ACH and wire transfers as well as protect against fraud with check and/or ACH Positive Pay.
e-Treasury is accessible through multiple secure client access channels including our Secure Browser technology, Industry Standard Browsers (E.g. Chrome, Firefox), Secure File Transfer and Mobile Banking for straight thru processing. This provides our clients the ability to manage their businesses either on premise or remotely. All channels are inter-changeable for users to set-up on the platform.
